The first season Human 2.0 explores new technology surrounding the human experience, spanning topics from organs, health and wellness, and the senses. The visual concept was inspired by scrappy, colorful construction paper to envoke the sense of youthful curiosity and fun. Through W|W, I worked with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP) to create a branded experience that helped activate this corridor through pedestrian-level placemaking with site-specific environmental design and strategic arrival points. The logo, a 6 in the form of a bridge, is a reprentation of the iconic viewpoint at the end of the street, the Roberto Clemente bridge. Common mementos include SD cards, jewelry, photos, and other small items. Once an order is placed, the customer is sent a package including information on their mission, instructions on how to pack their item with provided space-grade materials, as well as mission specific merch such as mission patches and boarding passes. I was tasked with managing this project and oversaw the user experience, design, and production. designed and implemented the Santa Zoom installation for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. This project included the initial branding, planning of the physical space and experience, working with contractors during production and creating additional marking and decor elements.&nbsp;Santa Zoom—housed in Market Square, the heart of holiday festivities in Downtown Pittsburgh—reimagines the traditional Santa visit to maintain the holiday magic during COVID, safely giving children the opportunity to give Santa their wish list. All visits are free with a suggested donation to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Specializing in both lunar and terrestrial systems, Astrobotic is most well known for launching the first commercial lander as part of NASA’s CLPS program in 2024 and it’s upcoming lunar mission in 2025. In my role as an in-house designer at Astrobotic, my primary position is with the proposal development team. Here I work closely with the director of proposal development, technical writers, and various engineers to create beautiful, consistent and informative figures to support bids for NASA lunar missions, software, and technology. Due to proprietary information within this design system, I am unable to publicly display this work. However, when not busy with proposals, I often contribute to the marketing team and their needs. Seager https://eseager.design/16th-St-Whiskey 16th Street 16th Street Whiskey The 16th Street Whiskey branding concept is inspired by my favorite of all the 446 bridges in Pittsburgh—the Sixteenth Street Bridge. Built in 1923, each end features two pillars with bronze Armillary Spheres (globe sculptures), positioned like portals from one shore to the other.A fun fact about this bridge: traveling from the north side, you would notice the vibrant green oxidized sculptures, while on the opposite side they are a dull brown. In the 1970’s during a movement to preserve and restore public art, crews misunderstood the oxidation as a sign of deterioration and covered with a brown laquor. Their mistake was luckily pointed out before making it to the other side, but the irreversible and innocent error marks the bridge as being even more unique. MSE, housed within the department inside the School of Computer Science, is one of the oldest master’s degrees at CMU. The design began after W|W conducted an extensive research-driven brand audit and developed the brand platform (purpose, positioning, promise, values, themes, and messaging), which provided strong foundation for the rebranding. As part of W|W’s process, I developed this concept to be presented to the client along with other concepts created by fellow designers.
